The 2014 Rally Italia Sardegna, sixth round of the 2014 World Rally Championship calendar, will see 57 teams fighting for the best positions overall, 15 of them on WRC cars.
The World Champion and general standings leader, Sébastien Ogier, and his team mate Jari-Matti Latvala will fight for the team’s sixth consecutive win this year, while Andreas Mikkelsen, with the third Polo R WRC will have his eyes on the podium.
Also with three cars, Hyundai Motorsports will be represented by Thierry Neuville, Juho Hanninen and Hayden Paddon, while Citroën Total Abu Dhabi WRT enters Kris Meeke, Mads Østberg and Khalid Al-Qassimi. Just like in all the 2014 rounds so far, Mikko Hirvonnen and Elfyn Evans will be defending the M-Sport WRT colors, while Robert Kubica will be at the wheel of the RK M-Sport’s Ford Fiesta.
Martin Prokop (Jipocar Czech National Team), Henning Solberg (Solberg Henning) and Jaroslav Melicharek (Slovakia WRT) are the three privateer teams.
The entry list is also comprised of 26 WRC2 teams, one of them from the Portuguese Bernardo Sousa.
The rally is held from June 5th to the 8th.
