Car 1, Ogier/Ingrassia
“It is difficult. The muddy places from this morning are not so bad but even more slippery in other places. In the dry we saved the tyre and pushed at the end. Now I must finish the loop. Yesterday we were wrong with the tier so at least we have more for today.”
Car 2, Latvala/Anttila
“We need to be a bit careful. We are running with the hard tier and struggling to get the grip on the long stage. This morning was not easy with the soft stage but now, I have to work with the hard tyre. It is so wet underground and the temperature is not high enough for the hard really. I try to save some tyres for tomorrow.”
Car 4, Ostberg/Anderson
“It is OK for us. We are on the hard tyre and I can tell you, that was challenging. It was 80% wet and damp so I think we did a good job to do that time. We were thinking about tomorrow. We thought we might be able to follow Sordo and keep some soft tyres for the Power Stage tomorrow. ”
Car 5, Hirvonen/Lehtinen
“I did everything I could but by now, the tyres are completely slick on the rear and I could not match him. He is running away – I can't do anything about it. ”
Car 6, Evans/Barritt
“It's still tricky. Some places are very good grip and others not so much. Difficult to read the road. Some look good and you get round the corner and it’s not there. I really enjoyed myself this weekend. The first time I’ve been half let off the lead. The car is very rewarding and again, thanks to the guys for their work past night. ”
Car 7, Neuville/Gilsoul
“In the road, I slightly hit something but it seems that I have broken something. I can drive but the wheel is moving.”
Car 8, Hänninen/Tuominen
“It is quite rough now, on this pass. Not such good driving – I was too careful on this rough. Very difficult conditions for sure.”
Car 9, Mikkelsen/ Markkula
“I thought I had a puncture. I had no grip at all but we were on the hard tyres. It was quite wet in there and we lost so much time. We had a problem wit the car which we had to fix so we didn't have time to change the tyres.”
Car 12, Al Qassimi/ Patterson
“It is really rutted. A lot of very rough sections. The strange thing is there are sections where the bedrock is really polished and I have to use a different technique.”
Car 16, Solberg/Minor
“I was struggling a bit in the mud. I am on the hard tyre, the Pirelli. I am satisfied.”
Car 20, Sordo/Marti
“For two Km from the end I was in his [Neuville] dust. I can't drive fast with these tyres – impossible. I can't push.”
Car 21, Prokop/Tománek
“Very slippery on the stage – understeering and difficult to follow a line. It was jumping from the line all the time. This stage was really bad for the tyres. It normally dries quickly but not today.”
Car 35, Ketomaa/Lindstrom
“Nothing for us – everything was perfect. It is hard work – you have to concentrate all the time.”
Car 36, Barrable/Loudon
“We did a crossover on the tyres to see if it made a different. But then, the softs overheated. We had a big, fifth gear moment at the end.”
Car 37, Bertelli/Dotta
“I have no brakes – the pedal is on the floor.”
Car 38, Ahlin/Abrahamsen
“We had some communications problems in the car. We had a puncture and changed it and when we got going again, there were no brakes.”
Car 40, Al-Attiyah/Bernacchini
“I am happy with this time. I found what I needed for this stage. I lifted the car to maximum height and it worked very well. We have one more stage but I am happy to come back. I used the hard tier with one spare – for me, this was the best choice. I don't want to take any risks.”
Car 42, Tidemand/Floene
“I am taking the battle fro WRC2 seriously. I try what I can. I have no experience with these tyres [mixed] so it is interesting to see what happens. We will see at the end of the day.”
Car 43, Sousa/Magalhães
“I am enjoying the car but missing some horsepower – our turbo is dead. I started to push in the middle but at the end, it started to lose power again. I don't know if it’s an electrical problem. ”
Car 44, Maurin/Klinger
“We lost some time in the dust from the car ahead. The stage is destroyed so I had to be very careful.”
Car 45, Aksa/Arena
“That was a good stage. I am still on soft tyres and I hope they will survive the last stage.”
Car 46, Al-Ketbi/Hepperle
“Everything is OK – in fact, fantastic. ”
Car 47, Al-Kuwari/ Duffy
“The hard tyres are not working at all in that stage. I am just happy to get to the end of the stage.”
Car 49, McCormack/ Moynhan
“The stage was good but we seem to be down on power. We may have a boost problem.”
Car 56, Koci/ Kostka
“Everything is Ok this time round. No more brake problems.”
Car 57, Lefebvre/Dubois
“We have changed the set-up at service today because we had lots of understeer. Now the car is much easier to turn in to the corner so I can drive with more confidence.”
Car 62, Fisher/Noble
“I took it much easier as the stage is destroyed.”
Car 70, Kruuda/Jäveoja
“I was pushing quite hard on this stage. A close gap to Tidemund is Ok – I am happy with myself. I have to carry the car on my back. If I can do that, then maybe I can switch to a faster car.”
Car 76, Barros/Henriques
“I have brakes on three wheels only. The car goes very sideways every time I brake. I have to be very careful.”
