Car 1, Ogier/Ingrassia
“It’s a good morning for us. Not too much to say, I heard Tanak crashed in the stage. For the first time in the rally it was a good tyre choice, so happy with that. Still not clear and still not dry.”
Car 2, Latvala/Anttila
“I tried to enjoy it, some sections was very nice. Some sections were the driest of the rally. It was very nice. It will still be difficult though, we might have to mix up the tyres. I have some soft tyres left, but not new ones.”
Car 4, Ostberg/Anderson
“I think it’s been a good morning, we’ve been going quite well. Some of the drivers are a bit faster, but I try everything I can to keep pace. I think when you want to fight at the top you need to take risks, but I’m not doing that at the moment.”
Car 5, Hirvonen/Lehtinen
“He [Tanak] was having a really good rally. But it’s not over for us. We make sure our pace notes are right, but we’ve done this stage many times before. Our notes are pretty perfect.”
Car 6, Evans/Barritt
“That was probably the direst stage we’ve seen today. The start was quite loose. About half way in it seemed to be a bit more compact and a bit more even. The middle loop will be interesting going off how it was earlier.”
Car 7, Neuville/Gilsoul
“It was okay. The car is okay, we had to take car though.”
Car 8, Hänninen/Tuominen
“The long one, middle one was okay. This last one we weren’t fully happy with the pace notes. I’m not happy but we need to be patient. But I’m more than happy with the setup of the car.”
Car 9, Mikkelsen/ Markkula
“We’re moving in the right direction, the long stage was pretty good. Now we’re back on this typical stage where I struggled a little bit.”
Car 12, Al Qassimi/ Patterson
“Bigger challenge, especially when it’s so demanding. You have a section of unpredictable corners that can shake your confidence. We just tried to be safe.”
Car 16, Solberg/Minor
“It’s better, so I just tried to get it steady. It’s a lot of work on the car. I changed some clicks on the suspension.”
Car 20, Sordo/Marti
“It was a little bit better, with soft tyres the car moves a lot. It’s difficult with the pace notes, but I’m happy. Tyres this afternoon are a difficult choice. We need to think about it. At the moment I’m happy with the rally. We’re improving all the time, learning how the car will cut in.”
Car 21, Prokop/Tománek
“It’s still changing, the road. So now we chose two soft and two hard. Maybe it’s better for hard tyres, I don’t know. I tried to go my maximum, but it wasn’t enough. I’m trying to be in better shape when leaving the corners, braking with my right foot.”
Car 35, Ketomaa/Lindstrom
“I saw them, but there was a yellow flag for us. It’s a very nasty place, it’s where Latvala crashed.”
Car 40, Al-Attiyah/Bernacchini
“I saw Tanak crashed in the same place as Latvala a few years ago. I overtook Jari Ketoma and Mikko Hirvonen, I didn’t know if the stage was stopped. I had no information.”
Car 42, Tidemand/Floene
“We came through on a yellow flag, I don’t know what’s happening.”
