Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“The feeling was not as great as this morning. It was not a bad day anyway. It is short
tomorrow, so we cannot lose too much time.”
Car 8. TÄNAK/JARVEOJA
He spun briefly 18km into the stage and started moving again. “Front right damper
problem.”
Car 11. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
“I tried to give it everything. I was smelling a lot of water but the car is okay. No damage,
just a small alarm and we are going to check.”
Car 5. MEEKE/MARSHALL
“I had a warning no handbrake on the start line and I lost a couple of seconds on the first
splits and had to drive those hairpins with no hand brake.”
Car 33. EVANS/MARTIN
“It is hot now in the car this afternoon.”
Car 19. LOEB/ELENA
“I tried my best to keep the car on the road and make no mistakes. It is not fun to drive
like this, but that is what we have done today.”
Car 4. LAPPI/FERM
“It has been a really good day to be honest. The car is really good for me now. The tyre
choice (hard) was not good for this one. It was too sandy.”
Car 10. LATVALA/ANTTILA
Toyota decided that the Finn would not start the stage after his damper issue in SS11 and
ongoing time loss in SS12.
Car 3. SUNINEN/SALMINEN
“We had a target for this loop. Maybe it was not so good, a bit optimistic. I did my best.”
Car 6. SORDO/DEL BARRIO
Rear-right puncture at stage finish. “The stages you cannot drive in the lines. It is very
slippery.”
Car 44. GREENSMITH/EDMONDSON
Stopped 6.4km in the stage. Off the road and stuck in a ditch with rear-right damage. His
father Charles Greensmith said: “He’s gone wide on a corner and fell in a ditch and got
stuck. Not much damage to the car. I am just distraught for the boy. For the last few
months he has been building for this moment. We could not of imagined he would have
done so well.”
Car 23. ROVANPERÄ/HALTTUNEN
“I think it was quite good. We had a bit optimistic tyre choice on the last loop. The second
loop for these cars and tyres is rough. It was not so enjoyable.”
Car 24. KOPECKÝ/DRESLER
“The second loop in the afternoon was not so good. The bonnet opened on the first one,
the second one was okay and we almost rolled when we missed a braking point on this
one. We were very lucky.”
Car 42. KATSUTA/BARRITT
Stopped towards the end of SS12 and his challenge for WRC 2 honours was over.
