Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“I think I don’t need to comment on that (Hyundai). My morning was good. I am happy with
what I did in the car. I tried to push as much as I could. We made some improvements
during the last tests. It’s better to focus on my performance.”
Car 8. TÄNAK/JARVEOJA
“I think it has been very well for us. If we get the car finally fixed in the service I don’t see
any problems this afternoon. After 4km we had no brakes for the first stage and we could
not fix until before the third one. We had technical issues and we were focusing on getting
the car to the finish. Now we need to get back into our normal rhythm. We are not fighting
with Jari-Matti.”
Car 11. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
“I had a good run this morning. Three quite demanding long stages. I went with six soft
tyres. Pleased to be here and still in fourth. I am happy with that. We have to stay in front
of him (Ogier).”
Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT’s Andrea Adamo -
“In the night I sleep. This morning we modified a few things. We started Sébastien (Loeb)
first this morning to create a little bit of suspense. We are in the situation where the fight is
tight. My job is to do whatever possible within the rules to make an advantage we can.”
Car 5. MEEKE/MARSHALL
“We have been able to hold our advantage. First stage was nice for me and Jari-Matti had
a stormer in the last one. I had a nice flow in the car. Let’s see in the afternoon if we can
continue our speed. It’s nice to be fresh and in a new environment and I am enjoying it.”
Car 33. EVANS/MARTIN
“It was very soft out there on the last stage. The cleaning was not as much as we thought.
It is difficult when you don’t have much to fight for. I think we tried some things with tyres.
We had nothing to lose. It’s very hot and the surface is very hot. It is difficult to find the
right mix.”
Car 4. LAPPI/FERM
“I carried two tyres because I thought the tyre wear would be higher. With 35kg less in the
car, maybe we could be faster. It is nice to be finally on the pace with this machine. We
made a small set-up change overnight and that is helping me as well.”
Car 10. LATVALA/ANTTILA
“I think we got the tyres right. We went with two hards and three mediums and some set
up changes on the car and it was working well. We had the hards on the front on the
middle stage and I had one hard one for the last stage. I know the guys who are behind
me are pushing hard. I focus to keep the guys behind. I don’t focus on Ott so much.”
Car 3. SUNINEN/SALMINEN
“Esapekka is ahead of me. He did a great time. I need to do better on the second loop
and catch him again. We had a problem with the steering wheel with the switch and we
could not go to ‘road-mode’ again for the road section. It took a bit longer than normal.”
Car 42. KATSUTA/BARRITT
Regained the outright WRC 2 lead by five seconds after SS10.
Car 51. LOUBET/LANDAIS
Second overall in WRC 2.
