Car 8. TÄNAK/JARVEOJA
“It was quite rough and loose in places. Generally it was quite good.”
Car 11. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
“I had a very good stage. I am happy with the drive and with what I can do.”
Car 5. MEEKE/MARSHALL
“I had a puncture warning light from about 10km to go. I think I have a soft tyre
somewhere.”
Car 33. EVANS/MARTIN
Car was in road section mode around three and a half minutes into the stage and stopped
on the side of the track. The Welshman was speaking to his engineer on the ‘phone but
could not fire up the Ford Fiesta for a time, although he found a loose connection in a box
in the foot well (throttle sensor?) and the car fired into life. He lost four minutes.
“Just stopped. I tried to do something and we got it going. It’s not perfect. There is
something strange.”
Car 19. LOEB/ELENA
“At the moment it is okay. It starts to be quite rough, second pass. Now the car is okay.”
Car 4. LAPPI/FERM
Lost around 53 seconds in the dust behind Elfyn Evans. “Bad enough (dust). It is not fair,
for sure. If I don’t get it back I must have done something wrong. I just need to get the
compensation for this.”
Car 10. LATVALA/ANTTILA
“This one I took a little bit easier. I was afraid of the tyres and wanted to save the tyres for
the last stage. I was worried with the tyre wear.”
Car 3. SUNINEN/SALMINEN
Up to third overall - “It’s great. Let’s see how is the next one…..”
Car 44. GREENSMITH/EDMONDSON
“It’s been getting better and better. This stage, I select stage and the car stops. I waited
10 seconds and the car stopped. It’s mega frustrating. At least we are not first on the road
tomorrow, yet. I am not going to jinx it….”
Car 21. ØSTBERG/ERIKSEN
Wishbone-securing bolt sheared on the road section after SS2. He incurred 4min 10sec of
road penalties (25 minutes late to SS3 start) and lost second place in WRC 2 Pro.
Car 23. ROVANPERÄ/HALTTUNEN
Lost the WRC 2 Pro lead and over one minute in SS4 with a puncture.
