Car 10. MEEKE/NAGLE
Paul Nagle – talking about the crash this morning - “We came out of a slow hairpin
left, came out a bit wide, caught some of the loose gravel and went in to the trees. It’s
mandatory to go to hospital after a big shunt. He’ll (Meeke) be back in the service park
soon enough. The protocol behind these rallies is very good and it’s great to have that
safety back-up behind us. The car is a bit worse for wear. It was a small mistake with
massive consequences. We’ll be ready for Sardinia.”
Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“When you fight for nothing it is not fun. We try and work on the set-up.”
Car 2. EVANS/BARRITT
“I was not entirely happy with the stage to be honest. I am happy with how the day has
been overall.”
Car 3. SUNINEN/MARKKULA
“It was not the best run for me. I was struggling with the balance of the car at the
beginning.”
Car 4. MIKKELSEN/JAEGER-SYNNEVAAG
“I landed a bit on the front. We went four softs and the car was moving a bit.”
Car 5. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
“I knew I could make a difference in here. I enjoyed this one. It was quite tricky. There
were some wet corners. I could see where some drivers had gone wide.”
Car 7. LATVALA/ANTTILA
“It was a good stage. I tried to push. I am losing time at the end. It was so rough. I am
pleased with the time.”
Car 9. LAPPI/FERM
“I’m afraid that was not enough. I have been flat out all afternoon. I cannot go faster.
Mister Suninen and Dani are doing a really good job to be honest. I have been pushing a
lot”
Car 11. BREEN/MARTIN
“Bits and pieces of rain. Probably more at the start of the stage. We had hards on the front
and softs on the rear. Anyway we got through. Another day out of the way.”
Car 12. ØSTBERG/ERIKSEN
“It has been a tough day. We managed the set-up quite well. We do some mistakes with
the set-up with the afternoon. Not everything worked out. It was the opposite of
yesterday.”
Car 16. SORDO/DEL BARRIO
A spin early in the stage. “The car is strange when I came to the throttle. I came to the
throttle and the rear came out and I do a spin. I can do better.”
Car 32. GREENSMITH/PARRY
Retired on the road section to the stage with broken suspension.
Car 33. HELLIER/OLMOS
Stopped in the stage.
