Car 2. EVANS/BARRITT
“No problems. It was very difficult and very rough. It’s not easy to know how you are doing
in those conditions.”
Car 4. MIKKELSEN/JAEGER-SYNNEVAAG
Stopped on the road section before the stage start to carry out work on the i20 and
missed their allotted start time. The Norwegian clocked into the stage in-control at the
same time as Elfyn Evans and moved ahead of the Welshman in the starting order. He
then stopped in the stage after the 20.03km split and retired.
Car 5. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
“I felt the tyres have gone off. I pushed very hard. The car was working nice. I changed
something with the mapping and felt comfortable.”
Car 6. PADDON/MARSHALL
Off after 2.4km and the stage has been stopped to enable the ambulance to have access
to the track.
Car 9. LAPPI/FERM
“In this one I had no new problems. I am lucky to be here. The time is not crazy bad and
we are here and I am happy for that.”
Car 10. MEEKE/NAGLE
Puncture on the front-left. “The tyre is fine!”
Car 11. BREEN/MARTIN
Stopped in the stage, restarted and lost over two minutes. “Puncture, rear puncture at the
start of the stage. I tried to chance it and drive on and had to stop and change it
eventually.”
Car 16. SORDO/DEL BARRIO
“I was completely slow. It was impossible. If I pushed more I lost the tyres. We blow the
rally with a decision like this.”
