A Hyundai, com o belga Thierry Neuville e o espanhol Dani Sordo, monopolizou os primeiros lugares do Shakedown deste Vodafone Rally de Portugal, realizado em Baltar (Paredes), numa pista com 4,61 km de extensão em que os i20 WRC superaram, por escassos décimos, o Fiesta de Ott Tanak e o DS3 de Kris Meeke.
A quase um segundo de diferença, e ambos com o mesmo registo, ficaram os Polo WRC de Jari Matti-Latvala e de Andreas Mikkelsen, ligeiramente mais rápidos que o tricampeão e líder do Mundial, Sébastien Ogier, que surge “apenas” na oitava posição.
