Hungarian fan won a dream co-drive... and for a good cause
Race For Good, the social organization founded by André Villas-Boas, gave a Hungarian fan a dream co-drive during the Vodafone Rally de Portugal. The prize? Flying alongside Sébastien Ogier on the Baltar Shakedown.
The opportunity to co-drive a car in the WRC's premier class is usually limited to a few guests of the teams or members of the press. However, Race for Good, with the support of its ambassador Sébastien Ogier and Toyota Gazoo Racing, created an initiative where anyone interested could buy 'tickets' that gave access to a real lottery prize for any rally fan: a co-drive with the eight-time World Champion in the Yaris GR Rally1 during the spectacular Baltar Shakedown! The funds went to social institutions and initiatives supported by Race for Good.
Zsolt, an Hungarian fan who lives in England, bought five tickets (for a total of €100) and won access to an experience to remember! "I applied for five tickets and every day I went to see if I was lucky, although without much conviction. After a while, I saw that there were only four tickets and decided to scroll down until I found a congratulatory message saying that I had won! The problem was that I was almost at the end of the race and I had to work against the clock to fly to Porto and be here on time. It was worth it because the experience was simply fantastic!" he said, shortly after getting out of the Toyota, in front of a big crowd.
