The fourth and final day of the 2015 Vodafone Rally de Portugal looks set to see the competition go down to the wire, with everything left to play for, for the drivers.
After three days of competition, the top four are separated by just 21.1 seconds. But crucially, for the final day, the cars run in reverse classification order, meaning that for the first time, Sebastien Ogier will not be running almost first on the road.
The Frenchman made the most of the penultimate day to pass Kris Meeke and close the gap to team-mate and leader Jari-Matti Latvala. At the start of the last day, Latvala’s lead over Ogier is a slim 9.5 seconds with Meeke a further 10.5 seconds back.
However, Citroen’s Meeke has the third VW of Andreas Mikkelsen breathing down his neck, just 1.1 adrift so there is still plenty to play for over the final three stages of the event.
The day begins with the first of two runs over the legendary 11.15Km Fafe stage before the huge 32.35Km Vieira do Minho. The event ends with the second run of the Fafe stage, forming the Power Stage of the rally, offering additional points for the top three drivers in the stage.
The crews then head to the Exponor service park for the finish ramp ceremony, which will start at 14.40hrs.
