Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“Tomorrow is a long day and we decided to save our softs for tomorrow and he (Katsuta)
didn’t.”
Car 33. EVANS/MARTIN
“That’s a shame for him (Ott). He’s done a fantastic rally until now. I was happy with my
stage to be fair. There are still a few tricky stages to go tomorrow.”
Car 8. TÄNAK/JÄRVEOJA
Damaged a wheel on the car in the stage and continued with suspension damage until he
stopped after 31.4km with terminal damage to the Yaris.
ANDREA ADAMO, TEAM PRINCIPAL, HYUNDAI SHELL MOBIS WRT
“I don’t know. I see what you are seeing. I think it is over for him for today. I don’t see
anything positive. My thoughts are for my people that can be frustrated. My job now is to
cheer them now. First I need to calm down myself. Between yesterday and today we
waste a great occasion.”
Car 69. ROVANPERÄ/HALTTUNEN
Stopped on the road section before the stage and missed his official start time. The car
had developed a technical issue and the Finn returned to Exponor and retired for the day.
Car 18. KATSUTA/BARRITT
“Maybe 7 or 8km from the finish, a tight left corner, there was some bed rock on the
ground and I went wide and there was a tree. We hit. Maybe just bumper and we survive.
After that I lost traction and I take care. It’s quite okay.”
Car 16. FOURMAUX/JAMOUL
“Honestly this was one of the most beautiful stages of the rally. I am struggling a bit with
the traction. It’s learning and it’s finding things to improve the pace.”
Car 44. GREENSMITH/PATTERSON
Ongoing intermittent throttle problems returned on the stage. “We know what the problem
Is. There is nothing we can do about it. When it comes on, stop, when it goes off, go
again..”
Car 6. SORDO/ROZADA
“I just push. I was pushing really hard. I try..too many risks.”
Car 22. LAPPI/FERM
“It was okay. Not so rough. The middle stage was really rough. You can push quite a lot in
this one.”
Car 24. SUNINEN/MARKKULA
A brief stop after five kilometres and the Finn dropped 19.4 seconds to WRC2 rival Lappi.
Car 30. SOLBERG/JOHNSTON
34.9km into the stage he half-spun the Hyundai and became wedged on the edge of the
track. The youngster managed to get going again. “We stalled it and I could not get it
started. I needed to get into reverse and it didn’t work. It was such a good stage.”
