Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“It is nice to be back at the rallycross track in front of so many fans. Tough day for me
cleaning the road. Let’s see what we can do tomorrow with a few cars in front of us.”
Car 11. NEUVILLE/WYDAEGHE
The Belgian failed to repair his damaged Hyundai on the road section back to Lousada
and should restart under Rally2 on Saturday with time penalties.

“It seems a bit strange to drive with the fans. It’s a great feeling to see them back. It has
been a demanding day. So many issues. We start again fresh tomorrow.”
Car 69. ROVANPERÄ/HALTTUNEN
“Today was not good for us. Tomorrow is going to be a long and tricky day. First time
starting to drive this kind of stage in this car. Hopefully we can do it better next time.”
Car 18. KATSUTA/BARRITT
“The feeling is not the best but the result is the best. I tried a lot of things. Sometimes I
was on the limit with the car. We need to think about tyres. Everyone had some issues. It
is quite tricky. We survive another day.”
Car 16. FOURMAUX/JAMOUL
“In a corner the rear wheels were a bit in the dust (SS7) and we had a big spin. We had a
puncture. In this stage the feeling was good with all the fans but the driving was really bad
from my side.”
Car 44. GREENSMITH/PATTERSON
“As soon as Chris (Patterson) came in to the car he showed me a couple of areas that I
need to change. I am surprised at the progression to be honest. It’s just a shame about
the puncture.”
Car 6. SORDO/ROZADA
Dropped 4.7 seconds on the stage. “I didn’t push nothing here or the stage before
because the tyres are totally broke. I did not want a puncture like on the motorway and
now I have to get to the service park.”
Car 21. BULACIA/OHANNESIAN
“It was very funny to drive in the Autodromo. It was a difficult day for me. I have been
struggling with myself. This night I will reset my mind and hopefully tomorrow I will be
driving better.”
Car 22. LAPPI/FERM
“It is always nice to have a battle inside the team and it is nice to see some audience. I
didn’t see so much audience this last year. It’s just so nice.”
Car 23. ØSTBERG/ERIKSEN
“I wish I could enjoy it. I am a little bit frustrated to be honest. It has been a complicated
day. Even without the puncture we would not be able to compete. We have some strange
things going on. I was surprised I did not roll in that corner!”
Car 24. SUNINEN/MARKKULA
“It has been a good day for us. It has been quite tricky. We have been in a good pace. We
lost 10 seconds in the dust (this afternoon), so let’s see if we can get the time back.”
Car 25. GRYAZIN/ALEXSANDROV
“For tomorrow it depends It is quite difficult. On this stage, one corner I lose everything. It
is not my stage today, but it is not an important one.”
Car 30. SOLBERG/JOHNSTON
“I won it (the heat against Suninen). I tried to put on a show. It was not easy, very, very
slippery. It was very good.”
Car 32. ROSSEL/CORIA
Led the WRC3 category after eight stages. “It’s a big fight with Kaje and all the other
drivers. Tomorrow is another long day. I need to work n the car for tomorrow. In slow
corner it is not easy. I am leading. It is perfect.”
Car 34. CIAMIN/ROCHE
“There’s a lot of fans here. Nice to see them back on the stage. It was a long day. The last
stage (SS7) was difficult.”
Car 35. KAJETANOWICZ/SZCZEPANIAK
“We see. Now it was a nice day. Really exciting and the car is working very well. Between
me and Rossel is not a big gap. The most important is to finish this race in a good place. I
did not expect so good times to be honest.”
Car 38. INGRAM/WHITTOCK
“That was so much fun. The most fun I’ve had in years. Hopefully we can get some time
back from when we caught Emil (Lindholm) early on.”

Car 40. JEETS/TOOM
Stopped in SS7.
