The engines are warming up for the 57th Vodafone Rally de Portugal! The first teams have already arrived at Exponor and the Service Park is beginning to take shape to house the machines and stars of the WRC and the Portuguese Rally Championship.
The 57th Vodafone Rally de Portugal is already reaching 'full speed' at the Exponor site in Matosinhos, especially as the first teams have already arrived at the venue that will once again host the Service Park and the event's operational center.
The experienced Automóvel Club de Portugal team also has all the structures in place to welcome thousands of people every day, starting next week, including members of the organization, WRC Promoter, FIA, FPAK, security forces, firefighters, teams, media professionals and all the support staff for the biggest sporting event held in Portugal.
And with the venue opening to the public between Thursday and Sunday next week (May 9-12), Exponor is expected to fill up again, not least because the forecasts point to pleasant weather conditions during the rally.
Earlier this week, the 39 Spectator Zones in the Central and Northern regions were announced, with all the safety, accessibility and visibility conditions for the public. In 2023, it should be remembered, the Vodafone Rally de Portugal attracted around one million people over the four days of the event.
This year's edition, whose route you can see in detail in this video, will once again have the ceremonial start in Coimbra, on Thursday, May 9, inaugurating a route that includes 22 stages, the highest number since 2012, crossing 15 municipalities in the central and northern regions of the country: Amarante, Arganil, Cabeceiras de Basto, Coimbra, Fafe, Felgueiras, Figueira da Foz, Góis, Lousada, Lousã, Matosinhos, Mondim de Basto, Mortágua, Paredes and Vieira do Minho.
Between May 9 and 12, the Service Park at Exponor is open to the public within the following times:
