A7 is the best alternative to get to Fafe after this week’s bad weather

04 abril 2013

The bad weather which has affected the northern part of Portugal, in particular the Guimarães area, resulted in several damages, among them a significant landslide that blocked IC5. This road, as well as the EN 206, is the main connection between Guimarães and Fafe, where the Fafe Rally Sprint will take place.
To avoid the road block, Fafe City Hall and the Automóvel Club de Portugal are suggesting to all those who want to attend the event coming from the coast, to do so using the A7 highway and exit to Fafe.
Once out of the highway, drivers should follow the sings to the desired “Zona Espectáculo / ZE” (spectators area). ZE 1 – Monte do Marco is the one with the easiest access. It is located very close to the start and it stretches up to km 1.54 of the special stage. Drivers can reach this ZE using the EN 206.
