The day today – Sunday 21 May

21 maio 2017

The fourth and final day of this year’s Vodafone Rally de Portugal will see the crews contest four stages before they reach the finish podium located on the harbour at Matosinhos.

The day sees a single loop of stages, located to the east of Oporto in the region around the town of Fafe. The day will begin with a run over the famous Fafe stage itself, running along a ridge and alongside several wind turbines. The Fafe stage is identical to last year.

There follows two new stages for the event, the first the 11.91Km of Luilhas. Immediately following it is the short 8,66Km of Montim before the crews go into a re-group to allow the running order to be changed for the final, Power Stage.

This will again be run over the Fafe test and like all other Power Stages, will be televised live and will feature additional points for the three fastest drivers over the 11.18Km.

Once the cars have completed the Power Stage and the winner is known, they will travel to the sea front in Matosinhos, where the finish ceremony for the 2017 event will take place.

From there, the top three winning crews will be transported back to the event HQ at EXPONOR where they will take part in the official post-event press conference.
